Accelerators & Incubators

TRACE drives entrepreneurship across Sri Lanka through powerful accelerator and incubator programs. From the National Startup Accelerator - a 10-week journey ending in a Demo Day at Disrupt Asia - to Good Life X, which champions regenerative tech and sustainable industries, TRACE empowers startups with expert mentorship, funding access, and global exposure. Programs like AGcelerator uplift agripreneurs, while TRACE also supports university-based innovation hubs and startup networks across regions. On the incubator side, the BREAD Center helps food-based SMEs scale with technical support and facilities, and a key partnership with JRDC in Peradeniya is shaping an innovation park focused on agri, food, and water tech. Future-forward plans include a TRACE VC fund and building high-tech incubation spaces in Port City Colombo - solidifying TRACE's commitment to nurturing impactful ventures from idea to industry.

TRACE Expert City represents a remarkable transformation of Colombo's colonial-era Tripoli Market Square into a thriving technology hub. Established in 2013 with a $7 million investment, this nonprofit initiative successfully converted 13 British-built warehouse bays into 30,000 square feet of modern workspace. Located strategically in Maradana near transport links and universities, TRACE now hosts leading organizations like CodeGen and the London Stock Exchange Group, demonstrating how heritage architecture can be reimagined to foster local innovation and combat brain drain.
